What Can We Discover by Connecting the D.O.M. Collections Digitally?

On November 26, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Rosensäle, the Digital Academy at the University of Jena invites you to the second event in the “Digital Collections” series: “What Can We Discover by Connecting the D.O.M. Collections Digitally?”

The German Optical Museum provides insights into its collections and presents selected objects and their stories. The digital part of the event focuses on provenance, knowledge graphs, and the digital linking of information. It explores how different types of information related to a collection object can be connected, making new relationships and perspectives visible.

The event series invites participants to explore the University of Jena’s diverse collections, discover new digital possibilities, and collaboratively develop perspectives for their future use.
