Digital Collections - When Does a Series of Measurements Become a Collection? (Dec 2, 2026)

When Does a Series of Measurements Become a Collection?

On December 2, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Rosensäle, the Digital Academy at the University of Jena invites you to the second event in the “Digital Collections” series: “When Does a Series of Measurements Become a Collection?”

The event explores when a series of measurements becomes a collection and what this means for its digital use and interpretation. The digital part focuses on provenance, knowledge graphs, and the digital linking of information. It explores how different types of information can be connected and how these connections can reveal new relationships and perspectives.

The event series invites participants to explore the University of Jena’s diverse collections, discover new digital possibilities, and collaboratively develop perspectives for their future use.
