In this survey, we collect information about your professional role (e.g., job title, area of responsibility) and the type of organisation you work for, as well as your opinions and experiences related to your professional practice. We do not collect any names, contact details, or information about gender, age, or physical or psychological characteristics.
Purposes of the data processing
The data is collected for the implementation of the ArcSci research project and the purposes described in the survey information. The data will exclusively be used for scientific purposes.
Legal basis of the data processing
The legal basis for the processing of your data is your consent according to Art. 6, para. 1 lit. a of the GDPR.
Recipients of the data
This survey is conducted using the survey software LimeSurvey. No data is transferred to third parties outside of this research project, and no data is transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA.
Length of storage
For reasons of good scientific practice of the German Research Foundation and the principles of the Max Planck Institute, your data will be stored for 10 years. The purpose behind this is to allow other scientists to verify the scientific results for correctness.
Your rights
You are not obligated to provide your data. Your participation is entirely voluntary, and there are no adverse consequences if you choose not to participate or not to complete the survey.
Because your responses are collected anonymously and no identifying code or information links your responses to you, you can withdraw from the survey at any time before submitting it. Once your responses have been submitted, it is no longer possible to identify, correct, or delete your individual responses, since they cannot be distinguished from other anonymous responses.
Within the frame of the legal possibilities, you have a right to general information about the categories of data we collect and process, and about the purposes of this processing, as described in this document.
You also have the right to approach the regulatory authority for data protection: the authority in charge for the Max Planck Society is the Bavarian data protection authority, post box 606, 91511 Ansbach.
