For data protection reasons, we would like to draw your attention to the data protection information in accordance with Art. 13 GDPR. It should also be noted (in accordance with Art. 9 para. 1 GDPR) that personal data will be requested in the course of this survey. It is always possible to refuse to provide information on a specific question. Nevertheless, we would be pleased to receive information, as it helps us to improve the exhibition experience.
Information Sheet to Art. 13:
The following information must be provided to you in accordance with Art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) when personal data is collected:
Regarding Art. 13 Section 1 lit. a) and b):
Responsible for the collection and processing of the personal data is Georg-August-Universität Göttingen Stiftung öffentlichen Rechts (ohne Universitätsmedizin), Wilhelmsplatz 1, 37073 Göttingen, represented by its president [referred to as UGOE]. Specific processing unit is the Centre for Collection Development, within the scope of the visitation-evaluation of exhibitions, led by the Forum Wissen.

Regarding Art. 13 Section 1 lit. c):
Collection of the personal data is necessary in order to achieve a meaningful evaluation of our audience’s exhibition experience of our audience and is legally based on your informed consent pursuant to Art. 6 Section 1 Subsection 1 lit. a).
Regarding Art. 13 Section 1 lit. e):
The personal data will be processed and transmitted to the following recipients:
Research: The personal data collected in the aforesaid research project will be processed by the researchers named out to you. Should further data recipients exist, you will get notice about that fact.
Regarding Art. 13 Section 2 lit. a):
According to the rules of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), the data collected could be stored by Forum Wissen for up to 10 years in order to secure the compliance to best practice research. The data will be anonymised and will ultimately be erased as soon as it is not needed anymore. Wherever and whenever possible, the data will be anonymised.
Regarding Art. 13 Section 2 lit. b):
The data subject has a right to access to the personal data concerning him or her and, where appropriate, a right to rectification, a right to erasure or a right to restriction of processing of such data and a right to object the processing and possibly a right to data portability.
Regarding Art. 13 Section 2 lit. c):
As far as the data processing is based on your consent, you have the right to revoke the consent at any time. The data processing carried out up to then remains legal, the revocation is only valid for the future. In this case your data will be deleted immediately.

Regarding Art. 13 Section 3:
If it is intended to process the personal data for a purpose other than that for which they were originally collected, UGOE or Forum Wissen will make information about this other purpose and all other relevant information available to the person concerned prior to such further processing.
